TRAUMA INTERVENTION PROGRAM
of San Diego
TIP Volunteers are very special people. Each spends over 500 hours annually providing support to people who are experiencing the worst time in their lives. Not everyone can be a TIP Volunteer, but anyone - including you - can support a volunteer. By Adopting a TIP Volunteer for $100, you will be helping us train, equip and recognize one (1) TIP Volunteer for a year.
TIP volunteers fill a critical void in emergency services in Yuba-Sutter-South Butte Counties. They work three shifts a month, arriving on scene quickly to administer "emotional first aid", offer practical support including connecting the clients with community resources. Many volunteers have experienced a traumatic event themselves and understand the need for emotional support.
